LARRY SCHUH IN THE NAVY

If you have made a claim against the VA for compensation or pension and have been denied or awarded an inadequate amount, you have one year to appeal.  You can do this yourself by following the procedures found in http://www.va.gov/VBS/bva/pamphlet.htm , you can seek help from a veteran's service organization such as those found in http://www1.va.gov/vso/index.cfm?template=view or from a State Veteran's Affairs Office found in http://www.va.gov/statedva.htm.  Also, you are entitled to retain a VA certified attorney for a fee payable if you prevail against the VA (See following page "Why Hire a Vet Attorney").  Veterans' attorneys who have agreed to abide by a high degree of professionalism and ethical conduct can be found at the website  of the National Organization of Veterans' Advocates, Inc.  http://www.vetadvocates.com/index.html.
Larry Schuh is a retired Navy Captain and was a recipient of VA medical care.  He is a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America and the National Organization of Veterans' Advocates, Inc., among numerous other organizations.  He is dedicated to assisting veterans and their survivors in navigating the sometimes treacherous waters of the VA system, and is always pleased to discuss claims problems with veterans and their survivors.
He is admitted to the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims and is Certified by the Veterans Administration for preparing and presenting veteran's claims.
Even if your claim is very old and you failed to appeal an adverse decision, it is possible that the claim can be revived with the original effective date.  At least, it is possible that it can be renewed with a current effective date.
If you are the survivor of a deceased veteran, you may be entitled to survivor's benefits (for instance if they were exposed to Agent Orange and died of prostate cancer) or for a low income pension.  Any questions whatsoever regarding your status and rights can frequently be resolved in a short phone conversation with Mr. Schuh.
Larry Schuh will give your claim the personal attention it deserves.
